Welcome to The Motorsport Club!
Ever wondered how to get involved with motorsport, but not had the funds to drive a car?
Volunteers are the lifeblood of motorsport. Without them, there can be no races, rallies, hillclimbs... in fact any motor sport event! From administration, documentation, scruitneering, block marshalling, flag marshalling, grid, startline, timekeeping, fire rescue and track marshalling, there is a role to suit anyone with a passion for motorsport. You don't need any special skills to become involved, training is on the job and simply requires a degree of common sense and reliablity.
Motorsport Volunteers in New Zealand are involved in running events such as Thunder in the Park,
Rally New Zealand (our round of the WRC), the
ITM400 (V8 Supercars), the
NZV8s and the
Summer Series, Historic Racing events like the
Bruce McLaren Festival and the upcoming
Chris Amon Festival and working with iconic clubs like NZIGP (New Zealand International Grand Prix Inc) - one of the first clubs in New Zealand and one of the reasons New Zealand is able to use the term Grands Prix!
